Alan Seidman is the Executive Director of the Center for the Study of College Student Retention, Professor Emeritus in the Richard W. Riley College of Education and Leadership at Walden University, and founding editor of the Journal of College Student Retention: Research, Theory & Practice. He is the author of numerous articles and books on student retention, and he is well known for developing a retention formula and success model that helps students meet their academic and personal goals. His latest book, Crossing the Finish Line: How to Retain and Graduate Students, was released by Rowman & Littlefield in July. In 130 pages and 17 brief chapters, he shows how to apply to his model in five easy steps to any type of educational institution and delivery model.
