Bill Jenkins, “The Truth About Video Games and the Brain.”
This post on The Science of Learning Blog summarizes an article that appeared in December 2011 in Nature Reviews Neuroscience about the effects of playing video games on the brain. The article presented the results of research that I have presented. Video games can have a positive effect on visual-spatial abilities, but violent games can produce aggression. However, new information was presented that I have not see before, namely, that video games can produce listlessness and discontent in slower-paced settings (such as a classroom).
